This is a page about my personal journey of healing.
I used to have suicidal depression, and I know depression is affecting an incredible number of people these days. The causes are often psychological and emotional, like childhood trauma, loneliness, and a society that doesn't honor simple human needs. But most often depression can also be caused by toxicity. The best psychotherapy won't help you, when your body is full of heavy metals and other toxins, as well as nutrient deprived.
That is why my approach to healing depression is multi-faceted: getting in the basics (nutritious diet, sunshine, nature, fresh air, breathing, stress-reduction), emotional healing, and detoxing from heavy metals, pesticides, plastics and other toxins that disrupt your neurotransmitters and hormones.
We are daily exposed to toxins, starting with the vaccines we get as children. Amalgam fillings, pesticides, chemicals in your household products and cosmetics, chlorine in the water, fluorides in tooth paste, bromides in processed foods, e numbers, mercury in fish, aluminium in deodorant and cooking ware, plastic in drinking water.... the list is endless.
I learned pretty soon on my journey that medical doctors don't learn a thing about these things in medical school. They just learn how to treat symptoms. You have to become your own healer and educate yourself.
Here I want to share what has worked for me, what didn't, what I learned, and I hope we can all exchange and grow and evolve and heal together.
Most of all, so many people out there struggle with depression, and I want to be a part of eliminating the stigma around it. You are not weak because you are depressed, in fact your soul wants to tell you something. It's been a great teacher for me, but it also showed me how we need to take care of the physical vessel to find peace within.
