Let's get to it.
How did I heal depression, anxiety, social anxiety, brain fog, binge eating, auto-agressive behavior, irregular periods, irritability, and so on. This will be a short summary of what I found the best modalities for healing. Ready? 1. Heavy metal detox. Heavy metals cause fungal and other pathogenic overgrowth, they damage your sensitive glands, they put constant stress on your body leading to inflammation, autoimmune diseases, cancer and so on. The best heavy metal detox I have come across so far is Advanced TRS. It's a nano-sized zeolize spray that can also cross the blood brain barrier. This is important since many heavy metals are stored in the brain, attached to the glands (as they are lipohilic). I am well aware that the marketing of TRS is not the best and it looks more like a dogdy MLM company, but I found it to be really effective over time, and I read many good reviews, especially in relation to autistic kids. It is pricey, yes, but well worth every Cent I believe. I am not selling it or earn anything from this recommendation! Other than that: Binders! They had been my best friends for a long time to help my mood. I always got more depressed when I stopped taking them. I don't need them anymore these days but still have them around for emergencies. I used to make a cocktail of bentonite or green clay, activated charcoal and psyllium husk powder in the morning. Take on an empty stomach and wait at least 1 hour until breakfast. These binders are negatively charged and bind to any positively charged toxin in your gut. When you are really sick and toxic, binders are my first recommendation! There are also other and more fancy binders, like Takesumi or modified pektin, but I stuck with these relatively inexpensive ones and they did the job for me. I can also recommend Microsilica which is a very expensive binder, but in my real toxic stages I found it often acting a bit like a chelator too, meaning it did not only just bind to toxins but also mobilised some (caused me sleep paralysis and frizzy feeling in the brain at first. Now I can take it with no issues whatsoever). Hawaiian Spirulina is good too, but start slow. I am unsure about Chlorella and cilantro. Maybe because it fucked me up badly when I just started out on my health journey. Cilantro is a strong heavy metal mobiliser from the brain and you would need plenty of binders ready to catch what it pushes out of the cells. Definitely more for the advanced stages of detox. Regarding Chlorella it is important to find a good and clean brand, and even then I feel it can be too strong a mobiliser if you are very sick. I found Advanced TRS to a very gentle way of detoxing. It is a tasteless spray which also makes it very easy to use for kids, or to take on travels. It knocked me out for the first 2 weeks of taking it, and for a loooong time I was tolerating only very few sprays. As with everything, the more toxic you are, the slower you have to start your detox journey. You can push through some detx symptoms but all in all, this is a marathon, not a sprint. You don't want to put additional stress on your body. The next post will be about Gut Health.

The one thing I learned on this healing journey is that we are all different and all the same.
What do I mean by that? We all show different symptoms and dis-eases. For some it manifests as skin problems, others have thyroid or other hormonal issues, some can't lose weight, some can't gain weight, some get depression or other mental disturbances, some get extreme fatigue, some get cancer, some get neurological problems.... But in the end it all boils down to the same basic root causes. And you need to figure which one might be yours and how to fix it. Healing doesn't mean to treat symptoms. True healing goes to the deepest level of imbalance in your body and removes what is causing it. Yes, that often means lifestyle changes. Yes, that can mean some discomfort in the beginning when you have to give up certain habits. You have the choice to stick to your habits and mask the symptoms with medication but if you want to know true and full health and most of all a sanity of mind and an open heart, you have to change what you are doing. True healing comes down to
I don't regret a penny I spent on healthy living and detox. I don't regret a single choice I made pro-health. The mental clarity and stability I found after years of depression, anxiety, panic attacks, autistic like behaviors, obsessive behaviors etc is priceless. The love and gratitude I feel for having found this way of life is endless. You are meant to be radiantly healthy and happy. You are meant to shine your light. One of the best things I did on my healing journey was giving up coffee. I had been a hardcore addict, back from my days when I was having an eating disorder starving myself for long times, just drinking coffee to keep me going and stop the hunger.
Coffee is absolutely detrimential to health. Not only does it often contain heavy metals like lead and cadmium, or pesticides, but it also heavily depletes your kidney JING (in Traditional Chinese Medicine this is your battery's energy for your whole life). It overstimulates and burns out the adrenals, leaving you fatigued over time. It depletes your minerals and is extremely acid on the body. Caffeine addiction is a thing though, and I know best how it is to stop. Here and there I tried in the past to quit. I would stop for a week, get through massive withdrawal symptoms and then would restart again, telling myself, I only have 1 small coffee a day (it would always end up with 3-4). Coffee withdrawal is hard. Crazy headaches, grumpiness and irritability, plus you are feeling like you have been robbed of the best thing of your day, a comforting morning ritual, a delicious treat. For the latter you can try switching to herbal coffee substitutes, like chicory or lupine coffee. For a milder withdrawal substitute your coffee with green tea or hot chocolate or mate tea. This way you still get some caffeine. But be careful not to get addicted to those substitutes too in the end. I ended up using cacao as my stimulant of the day and when I did a detox, the withdrawl symptoms were almost as bad as with coffee. But still, cacao is way better than coffee in my opinion, especially if it is raw unprocessed and unsweetened cacao. Careful though about your sources as cacao also is known to often contain high levels of cadmium and lead. The absolute best way to replace coffee is with a green juice (cucumber, parsley, celery, ginger, lemon). This will wake your body up with nourishment, not with stimulants. Your tastebuds will change with time, and you will crave green juices instead of coffee that crashes your energy and leaves you with bad breath. Not only did I overcome serious suicidal depression (a growing epidemic in the Western world), but I also have more and more days of epic inner peace and happiness. You know it when you feel it.
It's because now I am filling my body with nutrients that nourish and recover my burned out adrenals, and I decreased the toxic load of my body, so that my organs can work properly. I eat the right foods and support a healthy gut biome. I also meditate most days, or practise mindfulness or yoga etc but to be honest, the physical part of the healing has been way more important. You cannot sit still in meditation and quiet the mind when it is racing because your adrenals are on fire, and your brain is inflamed from neurotoxins. The world today is a toxic one and just as the oceans and the fish and the soil, we humans fill up with toxic waste like heavy metals. I remember as a child and teenager the inner tension, massive anxiety and racing thoughts. I grew up like this, I didn't know any better. I was very toxic from heavy metals (from my mother's toxic load, vaccines and amalgam fillings in my milk teeth). My gut flora was in real bad shape from the gluten (I hav celiac genes), not having been breastfed, and an overall less than optimal diet full of processed crap and low in nutrients. The gut is your second brain and responsable for the production of neurotransmitters like serotonine and dopamine. I developed severe depression early on, an immense sadness and grief for no good reason. My mother was severely depressed herself (toxic from her amalgam fillings). I had intense anxiety, and later on experienced panic attacks. What helped me overcome depression, anxiety and panic attacks, racing thoughts and inner tension? Detox and Nourishment. The first time ever I felt an inner bliss and happiness for no reason was after 3 months of a 100 % raw food diet. I wondered if this was how humans are supposed to feel. I am not necessarily recommending a raw food diet for detoxing but, done right, it supports the body massively in healing and nourishment. Gut health, detoxification and nourishment with minerals, vitamins and the right fats for the brain are all crucial for overcoming depression and having a happy and healthy brain, and discovering inner peace. |
