So actually my Candida had been pretty well under control over the past years. No thrush, no massive bloating, tongue coating was not too bad either. Which is probably because I eat a pretty clean diet.
But I noticed every time I started taking my methylation supplements B12 and Folate that my fungal infections increased. I read that B 12 and folate can feed Candida. It makes sense. Maybe the reason why so many people with health issues have vitamin deficiencies is because the Candida ingests them. Another reason could be that any health improvement via methylation uptick etc causes a detox and dump of toxins which then leads to temporary gut imbalances. I mean, this is how we get a Candida overload in the first place, right? Because we are toxic. Which kills the good bacteria so that Candida can have a big ass party. Anyway, so I read about Saccharomyces Boulardii being the ultimate weapon against Candida. It is a yeast itself, but a friendly one, that won't colonize the gut but will remove the bad Candida. Sounds fab. I also read in Alberto Villoldo's latest book "Grow a new body" how you can increase your number of Boulardiis by feeding them cooked fruit, so I have been doing that too. The last 2 days I took 1 capsule of Jarrow's Boulardii and I don't know why but I feel more yeasty than before. As in more bloated and I can also smell more yeast... the hopeful part of me thinks it is Candida leaving and being excreted. I was also wondering if my Pyroluria supplements, mainly the vitamin B6, increase the Candida. Firstly, because they cause a detox and copper dumping, or because b vitamins in general feed Candida?
